GoodDayTo scores complete time blocks using the activity’s real weather rules and shows the strongest practical options.
Why this is different from a normal weather forecast
A forecast tells you what the weather may be. This planner answers a more practical question: when should I actually do the activity I choose? Search the activity, choose the location, date and duration, and GoodDayTo ranks complete weather windows instead of showing one generic daily icon.
The planner uses the same activity-specific scoring rules, timing limits and severe-weather caps as the rest of GoodDayTo. A golf block is still treated like golf, a dog walk like a dog walk, and kayaking remains conservative about wind. It does not flatten every activity into one generic weather score.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose an activity?
Use the activity search and type a simple name such as golf, walking, camping, padel or gardening. Pick the matching result, then choose the location, date and duration.
What happens if GoodDayTo does not know my activity?
The planner tells you it is not supported yet and sends a minimised activity label to a private demand list. Repeated requests are counted so we can see which activities people genuinely want next. We do not automatically publish a new activity until it has proper weather rules, timing logic and safety checks.
Do I have to choose a duration?
No. Leave it on Typical time and GoodDayTo uses the normal duration for that activity, or choose a whole-hour duration from 1 to 8 hours.
What if I need more than the usual 1, 3 or 5 hour planner options?
This tool accepts any whole-hour duration from 1 to 8 hours. That makes it useful for specific jobs or outings that do not fit the quick selector on the normal activity pages.
Why do you return more than one time?
The best overall block is shown first, followed by other strong alternatives where possible. That gives you flexibility if the top time does not fit your schedule.
What happens if Stargazing night-sky data is unavailable?
The Planner pauses the result instead of scoring Stargazing from weather alone. Moon brightness and astronomical darkness can materially change the answer, so try again when that detail is available. Photography can still show a clearly labelled weather-only result because its light timing is a preference rather than a safety gate.
Can I plan for next week?
The tool currently works inside the available seven-day hourly forecast. It deliberately does not pretend to give hour-by-hour precision beyond the forecast data it has.
Can I compare all my saved routines at once?
Yes. In My Day, tap Check all now. GoodDayTo re-runs every saved routine against fresh forecast data and highlights the strongest current opportunity without changing the routines you saved.
Can I share the best time?
Yes. Once the planner ranks the day, use Share best time. The shared link carries the natural-language request, selected date and typed place name so the recipient can reopen the plan and re-check it against fresh weather. Precise browser coordinates are not put into the shared URL.
Can I add the best time to my calendar?
Yes. Use Add to calendar on the best result. GoodDayTo creates a calendar event for the recommended block and uses the forecast location’s timezone where it is available.
Does the planner know whether the place is open?
No. It ranks weather windows. Venue opening times, bookings, access, route conditions, water conditions and official warnings remain separate checks.
