Location

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser asks you for permission. GoodDayTo uses those coordinates to request weather for your area. You can instead search for a town or city. For nearby-place checks such as beaches, parks, courts or golf courses, GoodDayTo rounds the latitude and longitude to roughly a 1 km grid before sending them to our nearby-place endpoint, so that check does not need your full-precision browser location.

Shared activity links

If you choose to share an activity result, GoodDayTo may add the resolved city, town or area label to the shared URL so the recipient can reopen the same place check. The shared link does not include your precise browser latitude or longitude. If a device location cannot be resolved to a useful place label, GoodDayTo leaves the location out of the shared URL.

Local storage

The current version may remember your chosen location in your browser so the next visit is quicker. This can be cleared through your browser storage controls.

Weather and place services

Forecast and geocoding requests use Open-Meteo. Stargazing and Photography can also use Sunrise-Sunset.org for sun, moon and twilight context, including golden- and blue-hour timing. Nearby-place checks use OpenStreetMap data through public Overpass API services after the coordinates have been rounded as described above. Those third-party services have their own privacy terms.

Analytics

GoodDayTo uses Google Analytics and Metricool only after you choose “Allow analytics” in our privacy choices. If you choose “Only essential,” those analytics scripts are not loaded. You can reopen Privacy choices from the footer and change your preference.

Essential browser storage

GoodDayTo may store your selected location, units, planning duration, favourite activities, saved planner routines and privacy choice in your browser so the service works as expected without requiring an account. Saved planner routines stay in browser storage on that device unless you remove them or clear browser storage.

Unsupported activity demand

If you search for an activity that GoodDayTo does not recognise in the homepage search, Activities directory or Planner, the service may record a minimised activity label so we can understand repeated demand and decide what to build next. The demand record includes the minimised activity label, the GoodDayTo page path and which search area it came from. It does not include your precise browser coordinates, shared-link query parameters, an account identifier or an IP-derived tracking key. Planner wording is reduced to the activity candidate rather than storing the full planning sentence. These demand records are kept in the private Site Command development system and are used to improve activity coverage rather than to publish a result automatically.

Contact form enquiries

If you use the Contact page, GoodDayTo processes the name, reply email address, enquiry topic and message that you choose to provide. Those details are sent into our private Site Command support inbox so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. Contact details submitted through the form are not published on GoodDayTo.app and no public contact email address is displayed.

Advertising

GoodDayTo may display advertising on eligible public pages. Advertising is kept separate from the core activity tools and controls. This privacy policy is updated when an advertising provider is actively used.

GoodDayTo publishes a Google publisher entry in ads.txt, but Google AdSense page code is not currently loaded. Before AdSense advertising is activated, the site must use an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform where required and this policy and the privacy choices must be updated to describe the real advertising behaviour.

The current GoodDayTo privacy-choice banner controls optional Google Analytics and Metricool measurement. It does not grant advertising consent and is not presented as a Google-certified advertising consent platform.
